Remarks
  1. Registration fee includes (1) All main conference sessions, (2) Conference programme e-book (if available), (3) Coffee breaks with refreshments, (4) Certificate of attendance.
  2. The registration fee DOES NOT include accommodation.
  3. To be eligible for student rate, the delegate must be a full-time student and a copy of student ID card must be submitted during registration as proof. Payment would only be proceed when the organiser verified and approved the application via the conference system.

Registration Terms and Conditions

    • These are the terms and conditions governing your participation in the International Conference of Dementia Innovation Readiness (the “ICD” or “Event”) organised by Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing (“JCCPA” or “the Organiser”) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (“CUHK” or “the Organiser”), which form a binding legal contract between the Organiser and the registered attendee or participant (“you” or “Participant”). If a person  is registering on behalf of another individual, it is his/her responsibility to ensure the person participating is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration on behalf of another individual, the person is warranting that he/she has made the participant aware of these terms and that the participating person has accepted these terms.

    • JCCPA reserves the right to refuse the registration/participation of any person at its sole discretion.

    • JCCPA will revoke access to the ICD for any inappropriate conduct or breach of these terms and conditions.

    • All participants must collect their badge during the designated registration time. Only participants with a valid badge will be granted admission.

    • Participants must wear their badges or present the provided QR code and are advised to bring along personal identification as security checks may be carried out at the discretion of event venue or JCCPA.

    • These terms and conditions apply from the time of registration until the closure of the ICD systems and conclusion of ICD related programmes.

    • The views and opinions expressed by ICD presenters, panelists, moderators and participants, whether spoken or written, do not necessarily reflect those of the organiser.


Registration Fees 

    • Registration fees are indicated in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD).

    • Payment should be made online by credit or debit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express) during the registration period.

    • The registration fees are set out on the conference website. For the early bird registrations, rates will apply only if the payment is made before the mentioned deadline.

    • Eligible students must provide valid student identification documents to receive the student registration rate offer, while the quota is available.

    • Registration will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and only be processed upon receipt of all registration fees.

    • Official receipt in hardcopy will only be distributed upon collection of participant badges, no mailing service will be provided.

    • Any bank charges and/or expenses incurred as a result of the online payment process will be borne by the participants.

By registering for the ICD pass and/or badge you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share your complimentary access link and/or code, unless such transfer is granted by the Organisers. If the Organisers determine that you have violated this policy, the Organisers may revoke your access to the events of JCCPA.


Entitlements

Registration for in-person delegates includes:

    • Access to all in-person sessions

    • Access to in-person areas

    • Lunches and coffee breaks

    • Access to virtual platform and video content (if available)

    • Programme book (if available)

    • Access to abstract book (if available)


Certificate of Attendance

    • Electronic certificate will be provided to participants who fulfilled 75% (i.e. 1.5 day) of the attendance rate.

    • The name provided in the registration will be used in the Certificate of Attendance (if available). No amendment will be catered after registration.

    • Participants can download the certificate by logging into the Congress System within one month after the completion of ICD.


Cancellations

    • All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    • No expenses on travel or accommodation can be claimed/refund in all circumstances when the Event is cancelled.


Illness

    • If any participant experiences symptoms of a notifiable disease (including but not limited to COVID-19) in the few days immediately prior to or during the ICD, the Participant must follow the rules and guidance given by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and/or the Organisers at the given time. If Participant is travelling from another country, please follow the advice/regulations of your place of residence and any transit countries.

    • Participants are recommended to arrange travel insurance for themselves.


Photography and Recording

    • The ICD will be recorded by the Organisers or may be broadcast online during or after the Event. Your participation in the Event, including but not limited to your image, voice and writings, even if you are not a presenter, may be included in these broadcasts or recordings.

    • The Organiser reserves the right to use images and videos taken at the ICD in future, including but not limited to online, electronic and printed materials.

    • By participating in the ICD, you acknowledge and agree to grant the right to the Organisers to record, film, live stream, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media now available or hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to the ICD includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media.


Intellectual Property Rights 

    • The Organisers, presenters and exhibitors retain the copyright and intellectual property rights on their respective information, documents, files, presentations, and other content shared during the Event.

    • You must not copy, retransmit, record, photograph or store event content unless expressly permitted.

    • The Organisers own the copyright to all materials displayed at the conference and may reproduce it in any form, including but not limited to programme book, abstract book, and conference videos, for distribution at any platform, including but not limited to conference website, the  websites and social media of the Organisers.


Alterations to Programme and Postponement or Cancellation of Event

    • The Organisers, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the ICD without prior notice, including but not limited to, the conference name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue, and time.

    • The conference will be cancelled if No. 8 typhoon signal or above, black rainstorm warning or “extreme conditions” is hoisted at 7:00am on 23 June 2025. Conference fees will not be refunded. Please refer to the event website: https://icd2025.org for the latest announcements.

The aforementioned arrangement is intended for reference purposes only and solely and could be altered at the Organisers’ discretion. The Organisers retain the authority to make modifications without advance notification.

    • If the ICD cannot be held or has to be postponed due to events beyond the control of the Organisers (“Force Majeure”) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or negligence of the Organisers, the Organisers cannot be held liable for any delay or failure in performing any of its obligations under these terms and conditions to the extent that such delay or failure is the result of any circumstances of Force Majeure nor for any damages or financial losses incurred by the attendees. Under these circumstances, the Organisers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to use it for a future congress or to reimburse the attendees after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the Event which could not be recovered from third parties.

    • Force Majeure includes but is not limited to act of God (such as epidemic, tidal wave, lightning, earthquake, hurricane,) armed hostilities or acts of war (whether declared or not), riots (other than among the Personnel), civil or military disturbances, national, regional or professional strikes (excluding strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes or actions by, between or originated among the parties).

    • If the Organisers need to cancel the in-person attendance, participants will be offered a refund. The Organisers are not responsible for any bank charges, travel or other related costs to attend the Event and recommend that the Participant takes out appropriate insurance cover.


Liability

    • The Organisers do not warrant the adequacy, accuracy or completeness of the information conveyed as part of the ICD.

    • The Organisers do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Event, but will use their best endeavours to fix interruptions within their control.

    • The Organisers will NOT be responsible for personal accidents, loss and/or damage to private property during the conference. Participants should take care of their personal belongings at all times.

    • In registering for the ICD, Participants agree that neither the ICD nor the Organisers will accept liability whatsoever. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements in respect of health, travel and other necessary insurances.

    • To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Organisers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, loss of profits and/or loss of data arising from and in connection with participation in the Event. The liability of commissioned service providers shall remain unaffected by this. The attendee shall take part in the Event at his/her own risk. Oral agreements shall not be binding if these have not been confirmed in writing by the Organisers.


Data Collection and Data Privacy

    • According to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Organiser has adopted the following policies to protect and safeguard the personal data of the web users. The Organiser will not disclose any personal data to any third parties and adopts the following policies to protect web user’s individual information:

    • The Organiser’s web server tracks and collects general information about the visits to the website. For example, the Organiser will compile statistics that show the daily numbers of visitors to the Organiser’s site, the daily requests the Organiser receives for particular files, the types of browsers used, the visitors’ domain names, and what countries those requests come from.

    • The Organiser will use “Google Analytics” and record visits to this website without collecting any personal identifiable information of users. Such general statistics are collected for the compilation of statistical reports and the diagnosis of problems with or concerning computer systems to help us improve this website.

    • When a person visits the website on the computer, a cookie is a small amount of data created in a computer. It often includes an anonymous unique identifier. A cookie can be used to identify a computer. It, however, is not used to collect any personal data. In other words, it does not have the function of identifying an individual user of this website.

    • The cookies are used by the Organiser to collect statistics about the number of visits of users to this website and the users’ preference of websites and online services offered on this website.

    • You may choose to accept or reject cookies. If you reject the cookies, you will not be able to use some of the functions of this website, such as saving your preferences in using this website and accessing some online services on this website.

    • When the Organiser invites you to provide information, it will specify the purpose and use of the information collected, and will inform you how to request access to or correction of the personal data provided.
